Grandma Goldie’s Pecan Pie

1 pie crust

1 c sugar

1 c corn syrup (don’t need all)

2 eggs (don’t overbeat)

2 T melted butter

1 c pecans

Mix sugar, corn syrup, eggs, butter and pecans. Pour into pie crust. Bake 375 degrees for 45 minutes.

The Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

  • 2 cups + 2 tbsp flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter
  • 1 cup + 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large whole egg + 1 egg yolk
  • 1/2 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips

Directions

  1. In large bowl, whisk flour, salt, and baking soda. Set aside.
  2. Melt butter and whisk sugars into it; set aside to cool.
  3. Whisk egg, egg yolk, and vanilla into butter/sugar mixture. Fold in dry ingredients and mix until just combined, then fold in the chips. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 min.
  4. Preheat oven to 325°. Place golf ball-sized dough balls on greased cookie sheets and bake for 12-14 minutes.
